It's been a while since my last entry, hasn't it? Not much has happened since then.
As you've known since my last entry, I'm a Ranger now. But I haven't had much training done after my last entry. I managed to rank level 13 first, before I didn't get incited anymore. Since then, I've mainly been inside and around the city, participating in events, do some farming, and send/receive equipment from Eirwen that I store for her.
A few weeks ago, I managed to get Ranger to 16. Now, I've heard from Eirwen, who has been leveling Ranger as well, about a certain tunic... Trailer's Tunica? Anyway, it's supposed to be great for Rangers of my level. But to travel all the way back to Windurst to beat an NM for that... It's even located in those ruins underneath Sarutabaruta, where my amnesia began.
I also read, in a special about Rangers in the Elvaan Male Monthly, about Bone Rings that can help me with my aim. For the rest, I seem well-prepared, thanks to my earlier leveling as Thief. I should camp Valkurm Emperor for his Emperor Hairpin, or hope Eirwen will finally get that Empress Hairpin from that Burning Circle NM some day, so we can share it.
Right now, I can't go anywhere, since Eirwen's been borrowing most of my equipment. Wait... she has my bone harness, and I can't wear that as a Ranger... All I need back is my vision ring. Hmmm... Maybe I can poke her about returning it. Though she seems busy lately. Reading about her Chains of Promathia runs sounds like she's having fun out there. Remind me to check the guards for new missions. My fingers are tingling to get on the road again. *purrr* =3

Enigmatic Camping
After the Bahamut thing, I couldn't sleep for a few nights. Eventually, I headed for the Infirmary, where I talked to the Medical Chief named Monberaux, who examined me.
I remembered Wolfgang bringing that weird pale kid to the Infirmary after the incident at Delkfutt's Tower, and I asked how the kid was doing. The kid was still unconsious.
Then, out of nowhere, the supposedly unconcious kid was standing in front of me. Monberaux and his staff excused themselves, and I was left waiting for the diagnose results. What followed after that was... He showed me things... visions... of a strange place. I saw a lot of architecture like those white unknown spine things and crags across the world.
Was he trying to help me with my memory? The place he showed me didn't ring a bell. Maybe that blue gem he gave me can help me finding the answers I seek. The above picture was taken when I accidentially dropped my camera while having those visions.
After these visions, I was left with a headache. I walked outside, only to find the doctor, Wolfgang and several guards run after something. They were after the kid. Monberaux was very shocked that the kid suddenly got up and ran away. I showed him the blue gem, but he did not know what it was. I'm keeping it for now.
Monberaux gave me some Sleeping Potions and some Remedy drinks for my headache.
After a few days, I managed to regain my full energetic self, thanks to the Sleeping Potions. It was a nice day, so I decided to head outside. I don't care what Eirwen says, but I like Upper Jeuno a lot. It's architecture, it's not-straight street, and all those adventurers with their gobbiebags filled with gil heading for the Bazaar just outside.
I tried picking a pocket, but then some frolic guy rushed by and spanked me, and several others, on the toosh. I can handle one time. But this guy kept on spanking everytime I walked past. I decided to follow that runt. Eventually, I caught him off-guard behind the Durable Shields store. I snuck up on him, used Sneak Attack, a trick I've known for some time now, and gave him a spanking of my own! He hasn't spanked ever since.
I went back to Kazham to party with some other guys just outside this little port town. We cut through the Mandragora's as if they were made of Selbina Butter. I stayed the night at Kazham and went back to partying with the red-haired elvaan again (on the right in picture above). Though we did great the day before, this new party sucked Bahamut's ass.
First, all the available camps throughout the jungle were claimed. We managed to squeeze in at the Outpost at the southern most part of the jungle. After we had finally gathered, and killing one mob, our White Mage left. He didn't heal us anyway, because he found our party's setup not god enough. If only I had followed his example...
We got a new White Mage, pulled some Goblins, and we were toast more often that the Goblins were. After many defeats, we finally decided to move camp to a place behind the nearby waterfall. Pretty sight there, but ugly fish-men. With a bit of trouble, we were able to kill one fish at the time, and rested inbetween.
At the worst time every, in the worst party ever, my memory decided to kick in and left me spaced out as I saw these memories flash by. The party did not like it, and got defeated as I was unable to move. Even I got defeated, but I didn't notice a thing. I fell unconcious. When I came to, someone had cast Raise on me, and the party had left the camp. How could they leave me there to die...
The next day, I had my skills and abilities compared to technical statistics. They ranked me a level 30 Thief. Not bad if I say so myself.
Since I was already in town, I went to visit Perih Vashai. She's the chieftainess of the Mithra of Windurst Woods. She's a famous Anaconda Mercenary Major, who served in the Crystal War.
Aparently, she knew me, as she called me by name. She was surprised to see I didn't know her. I explained to her my situation, and she showed me support.
I did remember something that had to do with miss Vashai, thanks to those flashbacks I had at the jungle the day before. These flashbacks showed me in my childhood years, running around these streets, past the Dhalmel farm, and being all excited around miss Vashai.
Miss Vashai asked about my technical specifications as an adventurer. I told her I got ranked a level 30 Thief. She decided it was time for me to learn the ways of her own profession, as I had always wanted, according to her. She gave me the task to observe the short life of an old fanged one.
As cryptic as it was, I knew what she meant. I had heard about this Tiger Cemetary somewhere in Sauromugue Champaign. I rented a Chocobo and made my way there. I found a cave and followed this old tiger inside, keeping myself hidden from detection by using a prism powder I purchased earlier. That poor thing died on its own, in a natural way.
I took a souvenir back to Windurst and showed it to miss Vashai. She taught me a wise lesson, and as proof of me passing her test, I received a Ranger's Necklace.
Now that I was able to develop my skills as a ranger, I took out a guide I had purchased from a merchant. I had heard being a Ranger is expensive, due to all the ammo and expensive equipment. And they were right. I staggered at the prices of certain very great beginners equipment at the Auction House.
I might have lost my memory, but I didn't fell on my head. So I took out my Armour and Weapon Guide, and found out certain equipment came from a few Notorious Monsters. Specs showed that someone ranked level 30 could easily handle them. So I made my way to South Gustaberg and finally got my Bounding Boots from that damn lizard Leaping Lizzy. After that, Juu Duzu the Whirlwind was my next victim. His bow has great statistics. I was amazed nobody camped him.
Not everything came from Notorious Monsters. I found a Gun on an Orcish Stonelauncher, and did a quest for a Wing Pendant. I heard the Cathedral in San d'Oria gave these things away if you traded them some water from the river. Weird fellows these church Elvaan. Even their greeting looks weird. Apparently, the hands up thing has to do with the Goddess and the sky or something. I lowered my hands instead. Solid ground for me, please.
With all the equipment at hand, and a gobbiebag full of rations and ammunition, I was ready for some partying at the Dunes. But first I forgot several things. It took me longer than I wanted to reach Valkurm Dunes. And when I did, some weird guy was randomly inviting people. I was ranked Ranger level 10, and the others he invited were either level 17 or 16. He himself was a level 13. I left the party after excusing myself, and waited for a new invitation.
I got a new invite, and made my way to the camp sites near the Konschtat Highlands border. To my very surprise, the area was fully camped. I hit my head with the palm of my hand. You'd think that people ranked level 13 would have left these sites by now.
The party started off slow. We were defeated a few times. Twice due to aggro, but I managed to save the party a couple of times by pulling the mob away from them.
After a while, the party kicked into gear and I managed to work my Ranger level up a bit. I kept switching my bows, and even though I had to work on my Archery skills, I ended up having to use my up-to-level Marksmanship to use my Blind bolts to debuff the lizards I pulled.
After a long time, I left the party, because I felt sleepy. I waved Zenophora, a new friend of mine, goodbye, who had been around the camp for some time. I also bid Eazura farewell, who helped out for a while, in case we needed a raise or an extra healer.
As for Vivid Infinity, she's doing okay. Her depressions have ended at last, and she's even fallen in love a few times. She's not developing on any statistics as fast as she used to. Then again, she's almost fully grown, and according to Hantileon, this is normal. I trust his expertise. I just wish those carrots wouldn't be so expensive.
So far, I enjoy being a Ranger. But I think I'll be soloing my way to 15 if the parties keep sucking as they do lately. And I wish my memory wouldn't kick in at the worst times. I also have these weird dreams... I'm in it, but then a high class Ranger, and I'm talking to the Star Cybil, who keeps calling me miss Lafihna. Even though that name rings a bell, I don't remember where I've heard that name. I do end up smiling, as it's a pleasant dream. Remind me to look up the name Lafihna in the magazines at the Infirmary.

Sunbreeze Festival and Bahamut
As promised, my new update, with more on my random adventures from the past couple of weeks.
Sunbreeze Festival time! After being stuck at the city for weeks because of Chocobo raising, I was h
appy there was finally something to do around this place. An event Moogle near Ranperre Gate showed me the poster on the left and told me about this play some people were performing in Laborman's Way, on the balcony between the Blacksmith's Guild and the Royal Armoury. When I got there, a hume in a blue swimsuit was fighting an undead monster named Ullegore. This was the Fantastic Fraulein Mumor Superheroine Stage Show, where we had to cheer for the heroine, and dance along side her when she needed our help in beating the Undead.
I sticked around for a few shows, then made my way back to the event moogle. He gave me the same blue swimsuit the heroine was wearing as a gift for helping her out. Nice ^^ He also gave me this poster for keeps.
Anemonet was in town, and took me to do the mini-games to get a special version of the swimsuits.
After getting her a swimsuit, we made our way to Victory Square in Souther San d'Oria, where this pervy guy offered us to play the minigame. This game was a "discerning eye" type of game, where we had a minute to spot the differences. The above picture I took I found rather humerous. You had to hit the SPOT button as soon as you could see a difference. LOLsubligar shot XD
As Anemonet had trouble spotting enough differences to get her Red Balloon rewards, we stumbled upon Beamr, a linkshell member we hadn't seen in a long time. We caught up on things and then made our way to Bastok through Moogle teleportation - a special treat during the Sunbreeze festival for those who had seen the Mumor show.
It's really amazing, this free teleportation. It dropped us off at Port Bastok, near the next mini-game. Even the girl Eirwen mentioned in her letters showed up for the festival (the red haired girl on the right). It was amazing to be back in Bastok. Maybe I'll use this teleportation thing to camp Lizzie again.
The mini-game Bastok had to offer was a Shooting Gallery. Player had a minute to shoot as many targets as possible, but had to watch out not to shoot the Pixies. Those pixies, even though they were fake, looked as beautiful as Eirwen told me. With my marksmanship well trained, I had no trouble taking out the right mobs. Reward this time was a Blue Balloon.
After that, we headed for Windurst to play a Chocobo Catch game. You had to steer a Chocobo to catch the Chocobo chicks that were coming at you, but you had to evade the Mandragoras that were mixed in them. I had no pictures taken this time, because I ran out of film.
Anemonet and I went back to Windurst after getting our Green Balloon, to receive our Special Edition swimsuit, that allows us to teleport to Purgonorgo Isle. After that, I was psyched enough to go outside the city again, so I got dressed up, got me a new film roll, and headed for Jeuno.
Lucky for me, I still had my Home Point set at Port Jeuno, so I got there in no time after paying some Conquest Points for a Warp scroll.
Once there, I got me some new bolts and a new crossbow, thanks to Faithful, and soon made my way through Qufim Isle to join a party of adventurers who were killing giants in Lower Delkfutt's Tower. After passing numerous Weapons and Bats, I entered the tower.
And just as you think you've seen it all, a core turns red, and all these guys with the white faces can't do anything about it. I was like "What the heck is going on in here?!"
After the red light had vanished, some Jeuno guards ran by me, and found a boy unconsious on the floor. Wolfgang, their leader, ordered to take the boy to the Infirmary at Upper Jeuno.
After that, it took two aggros of bats to reach teh party. We didn't kill many giants in the tower, and soon killed Pugils at what's known between adventurers as Pugil Lane. I didn't do any pulling... yet.
An hour or two later, we were on our way to Kazham, because the mobs at Qufim were getting too weak. Luckily I got my Kazham Airship Pass some time ago, and experienced my first flight to the Elshimo Lowlands/Uplands.
Kazham sure made an impression on me. A town full of Mithras, next to a dangerous jungle. I also caught this story on Tonberries and Ifrit's Cauldron. It all sounds scary. I hope I won't be heading there anytime soon.
Instead of entering the deep jungles of Yuhtunga Jungle, we made camp near some slope that had a dead end. I wonder what's beyond that gate... Anyway, this camp was pretty safe, and we fought for several more hours.
At one point, we were smashing away on this Mandragora, when a Goblin Smithy, who had been terrorizing the perimiters for some time now, decided to join our party. Our sub-tank got badly injured and required a Raise, because he had to use his special ability Trance on an earlier mob. I so hate that goblin. I tried to poke him to death from a distance, as seen in the picture above. Didn't work though. He came after me, but luckily I used Flee and made it back to town in one piece.
One thing I must thank the goblin for. Thanks to him, I learned a new technique called Shadowstitch, that binds the enemy. Together with Sneak Attack, this could prove very useful, incase a goblin decides to party with us again.
It was late at night that I headed on home. I was tired from all the killing, and lucky for me, the leader had already a replacement for me on the way. Saved me the trouble of finding one myself.
Back home, I turned on the TeleMogVision to catch up on some news, and learned what all that rumbling at the tower was about.

Bahamut rised up from the ocean and didn't come with good news. I slept bad that night.
